CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO
5200 DOVER CENTER RD. NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO 44070
OFFICE OF THE COUNCIL
Phone 440-777-8000
Fax 440-716-4213
To: City Forester Wendell
From: Councilman Gareau
Date: May 6, 2004
Re: Trees Used As Buffering
To assist me in my review of the Ganley Volkswagen proposal, I am in need of some
information from you. Could you please examine the trees planted at the United Dairy
Farmer store on the northwest corner of Columbia and Lorain roads. You will note that
on the western property line where it abuts the Fairview Hospital medical building, a
dense growth of trees is in place. I would like the following information from you:
1. The species of the trees that have been planted there.
2. The distance apart such trees have been planted.
3. The maximum growth of such trees in circumference and height.
4. Life span of such species.
5. Any unique planting conditions for such a variety of tree, and through your inquiry
the cost of such trees if purchased at 5/6 feet in height in bulk.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
MRG:bIs
cc: Service Director
Z~~
® - ,s
