Council Minutes of 2/15/2005 <br />union membership. As to whether the union is ready to make a concession on the work <br />force, this is the first time it has been mentioned and this is the wrong venue for the union <br />to be approached about making concessions. He is in a position with his back up against <br />the wall. His statements were about bringing everything to the table so a fair, adequate <br />decision can be made for everybody. He does not feel he has the information to do that. <br />Mr. Bouman said he has found what he believes is a $250,000 savings and it has nothing <br />to do with operation or payroll. When asked to identify it, he promised to speak to the <br />Law Director privately. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2005-13 introduced by Councilman Miller on behalf of Mayor Musial <br />was given its second reading. A resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North <br />Olmsted to enter into a renewed service contract, for the one-year term of January 1, <br />2005 through December 31, 2005, with TAC Computer Inc., in order to provide <br />maintenance and repair services for the Police Department server, digital data backup <br />system, Sonicwall, CAD software, MDT interface and CRIS Upload System, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Miller made a motion to suspend the rule requiring <br />three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2005-13 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-14 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a renewed memorandum of understanding <br />with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District to provide assistance to the City <br />of North Olmsted with the public education and public participation measures for its EPA <br />Phase II Storm Water Program, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-15 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to request proposals for plans <br />examiner and back-up plans examiner services; further, authorizing the Mayor to enter <br />into an agreement with the examiners selected in the RFP process and approved by the <br />Board of Control; and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-16 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Nashar on behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor <br />to enter into an acquisition agreement with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit <br />Authority, providing for the sale of assets and transfer of all North Olmsted Municipal <br />Bus Line operations to the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority and declaring <br />an emergency. <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />
