Council Minutes of 2/15/2005 union membership. As to whether the union is ready to make a concession on the work force, this is the first time it has been mentioned and this is the wrong venue for the union to be approached about making concessions. He is in a position with his back up against the wall. His statements were about bringing everything to the table so a fair, adequate decision can be made for everybody. He does not feel he has the information to do that. Mr. Bouman said he has found what he believes is a $250,000 savings and it has nothing to do with operation or payroll. When asked to identify it, he promised to speak to the Law Director privately. LEGISLATION Resolution No. 2005-13 introduced by Councilman Miller on behalf of Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewed service contract, for the one-year term of January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005, with TAC Computer Inc., in order to provide maintenance and repair services for the Police Department server, digital data backup system, Sonicwall, CAD software, MDT interface and CRIS Upload System, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Miller made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a renewed memorandum of understanding with the Cuyahoga Soil and Water Conservation District to provide assistance to the City of North Olmsted with the public education and public participation measures for its EPA Phase II Storm Water Program, and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 2004-15 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to request proposals for plans examiner and back-up plans examiner services; further, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the examiners selected in the RFP process and approved by the Board of Control; and declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 2005-16 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Nashar on behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an acquisition agreement with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, providing for the sale of assets and transfer of all North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line operations to the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority and declaring an emergency. 9
