<br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 2, 20(18 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gazeau, <br />Dailey Jones, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski, Ryan <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of August 19, 2008 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: first reading, Resolutions 2008-111, 2008-112, 2008-113; <br />second reading, Ordinance 2008-107. <br />RE <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) Annual Mayor's charity ball will be held on Saturday, September 27. <br />This event raises funds for worthy charities and causes in our city and in the larger <br />community. All of Council and any interested citizens aze encouraged to attend in <br />support of this worthy effort. Contact his office for more information. <br />2) We had a successful Homecoming. This year the administration added a ver} <br />successful community "shred-it day." Congratulations to the Community Council, to <br />their president Bryan O'Malley, and to all the others who helped make this event a <br />success. <br />3) The new Goodwill store at 23100 Lorain Road is scheduled to open on Monday, <br />September 18. The Goodwill trailer has been relocated to that location, and it is expected <br />that trailer will be removed soon after the opening of that new store. <br />4) We recently had a fatality with a fire at 25094 Doe Avenue. It has been determined by <br />the County Coroner that the individual died prior to the fire, and the fire was caused after <br />death, potentially due to a lit cigarette. <br />5) The Cuyahoga County Emergency Management Agency has started a radio testing <br />program on our MARCS Command and Control Radio System. Tests will be conducted <br />on the third Thursday of each month to check the interoperability ofthe radio system. <br />6) Our inflow and infiltration program will begin with the contract with Ed Kelly & <br />Associates. The initial focus for addressing I & I will be the Deerfield azea. <br />~~ <br />
