Council Minutes of 4/21/2009 <br />Resolution No. 2009-44 introduced by Council Members Jones, Orlowski, Kearney, and <br />Mahoney was given its second reading. A resolution urging the State of Ohio to purchase <br />domestically produced goods, materials, and services with funds received from federal <br />economic renewal grants. <br />Resolution No. 2009-47 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County <br />Board of Health authorizing the Board of Health to use the North Olmsted Service <br />Department garage as a point of dispensing ("POD") disease prevention and control <br />facility in the event of an emergency, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2009-49 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Mercury Payment Systems <br />providing for the latter to serve as payment processor for Springvale Golf Course and <br />Ballroom. Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings <br />noting the legislation had been reviewed in committee and the purpose for suspension is <br />golf season is beginning and the system needs to be started to implement savings. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Gareau moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2009-49 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2009-50 introduce by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to apply for a grant under the 3M <br />Sign Grant Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to accept the grant if awarded and <br />to enter into a contract or execute other documents to effectuate receipt of the grant. <br />Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings noting the <br />legislation had been reviewed in committee and the reason for suspension is the city <br />wishes to apply for the grant in a timely fashion. Resolution <br />No. 2009-50 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2009-51 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award <br />of a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets at various locations in <br />the city, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Service Department, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, if necessary, to <br />contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2009-52 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />cracksealing on various streets in the city, as per specifications on file in his office, and <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2009-53 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the payment of five thousand nine hundred twenty-four dollars <br />
