RONALD WILAMOSKY <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND FIXING THE <br />COMPENSATION FOR THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR THE TERM <br />OF OFFICE COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 1982 AND <br />ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1985 AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of North Olmsted, at Article <br />IV, Section 6, requires the Council to fix the compensation for all <br />elected officials at least Thirty (30) days prior to the filing <br />date of nominating petitions for terms beginning on the next <br />succeeding 1st day of January, and <br />WHEREAS, the date for filing nominating petitions for <br />elected officials in the City of North Olmsted is April 3, 1981, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to establish the <br />compensation for all elected officials in compliance with the <br />Charter requirements: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the salary to be paid to the Director of <br />Finance or t e term commencing January 1, 1982 and ending <br />December 31, 1985 shall be as follows: <br />Effective January 1, 1982 thru December 31, 1983 - $24,350.00 per year <br />Effective January 1, 1984 thru December 31, 1985 - $27,500.00 per year <br />SECTION 2: That in addition to the salary specified in Section <br />1 hereo t e City of North Olmsted shall pay for full hospitalization <br />coverage Qn a family plan with. either Blue Cross and Medical Mutual <br />or the Kaiser Health Foundation or any other hospitalization plan <br />which may be designated by Council. <br />SECTLON 3: That the compensation as specified in Sections 1 <br />and 2 hereofare being established only for the purpose of complying <br />with the Charter requirements as outlined in Article IV, Section 6, <br />and in no way affect any of th.e other provisions of any ordinance <br />relating to the organizational chart of either administrative or <br />legislative officers. <br />SECTLON 4: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />puhlc health, safety and welfare, and fox the further reason that <br />it is immediately necessary to comply with the requirements of the <br />Charter of the City of North Olmsted regarding the establishment of <br />salaries at least Thirty (30) days prior to the filing of nominating <br />petitions, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be i.n force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED : ~ Q',-c.e:t.~es,y ~~ ~~~~ <br />ATTEST: <br />E CE CAMPBELL, ERK OF COUN IL DE E H.
