CITY OF NORTH OL1~ISTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 80- 137 <br />BY: MRS. VONNIE PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE CONGREGATIONAL <br />CHURCH ON LORAIN ROAD IN THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED AS A HISTORICAL LANDMARK. <br />WHEREAS, the Landmarks Commission of the City of North <br />Olmsted has studied the proposition of making the Congregational <br />Church on Lorain Road as a historical landmark, and <br />WHEREAS, said Commission reviewed the Congregational Church <br />site in terms of the existing comprehensive plan and future develop- <br />ment, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the Landmark Commission's recommendation, <br />together with- that of the Planning Commission, that the Congregational <br />Church site and structure be safeguarded and that the designating of <br />same will enhance the visual and aesthetic character of the City <br />and foster civic pride, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council is desirous of declaring that the <br />Congregational Church on Lorain Road be designated as a historical <br />landmark. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTlON l: That this Council does hereby designate the <br />Congregational Church site and building on Lorain Road as a historical <br />landmark. to be afforded all of the protections of a historical <br />landmark. as specified in Chapter 165 of the Codified Ordinances of <br />the City of North.
