PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE BOARD OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WHEREIN <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED IS TO SERVE AS LEAD <br />AGENCY IN AN APPLICATION FOR A GRANT TO ASSIST IN <br />THE DESIGN OF TREATMENT WORKS IMPROVEMENTS RECOMMENDED <br />IN THE FACILITY PLAN, AND TO PERFORM OTHER NECESSARY <br />MATTERS FOR A FEDERAL GRANT UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF <br />THE CLEAN WATER ACT AMENDMENTS OF 1977, IN CONNECTION <br />WITH IMPROVEMENTS AND ADDITIONS TO THE WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT AND SANITARY SEWERAGE FACILITIES OF OLMSTED <br />TOWNSHIP, AS PART OF THE AREA KNOWN AS THE NORTH <br />OLMSTED FACILITY. PLAN, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has completed a Step 1 Facility <br />Plan for wastewater collection and treatment in the North Olmsted <br />Facility Planning Area, and <br />WHEREAS, sections of unincorporated areas in Olmsted Township, <br />Cuyahoga County are tributary to and served by the municipal sewer systems <br />in the City of North Olmsted, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires a sharing of costs for <br />the design of improvements to the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby directed to enter <br />into an agreement with the Board of County Commissioners to share in the <br />local costs for the design of improvements to the North Olmsted Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary in <br />order to expedite the filing of the application for federal grants, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : ,dp~~,G~,~~ ,Z <br />ATTEST: <br />GLs. <br />Florence E.
