CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 80 - 98 <br />BY : MRS. PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE CITY OF FAIRVIEW PARK WHEREIN THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED IS TO SERVE AS LEAD AGENCY IN AN APPLICATION <br />FOR A GRANT TO ASSIST IN THE DESIGN OF TREATMENT <br />WORK IMPROVEMENTS RECOMMENDED IN THE FACILITY PLAN <br />AND TO PERFORM OTHER NECESSARY MATTERS FOR A FEDERAL <br />GRANT UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE CLEAN WATER ACT <br />AMENDMENTS OF 1977, IN CONNECTION WITH IMPROVEMENTS <br />AND ADDITIONS TO THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND <br />SANITARY SEWERAGE FACILITIES OF OLMSTED TOWNS~IIP, <br />AS PART OF THE AREA KNOWN AS THE NORTH OLMSTED <br />FACILITY PLAN, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has completed a Step 1 Facility <br />Plan for wastewater collection and treatment in the North Olmsted <br />Facility Planning Area, and <br />WHEREAS, sections of incorporated areas in the City of Fairview <br />Park are tributary to and served by the municipal sewer systems in the <br />City of North Olmsted, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires a sharing of costs for <br />the design of improvements to the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COi1NTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby directed to enter into <br />an agreement with the City of Fairview Park to apply for a grant to share <br />in the local share costs for design of improvements to the North Olmsted <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />SECTION 2: <br />That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary in <br />order to expedite the filing of the application for federal grants, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~ /9~ <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence E.
