Add new medium pressure powdered carbon/biological <br />sludge oxidation equipment and building. <br />2. Add new low pressure primary sludge oxidation equipment. <br />3. Relocate existing low pressure sludge oxidation equip- <br />ment. <br />4. Add new carbon sludge thickeners and storage tanks. <br />5. Add new vacuum filter. <br />6. Add new sludge cake conveyance system. <br />7. Add new scrubbing chamber for mixing primary clarified <br />effluent and regenerated powdered carbon. <br />8. Add new decant tank for low pressure oxidized sludge. <br />9. Add a new odor control system with containment of <br />existing gravity sludge thickeners, primary sedimentation <br />tanks, digester sludge storage tanks, primary sludge <br />wet wells, and screening building; and transport and <br />treatment of odorous air in a scrubbing chamber using <br />powdered carbon mixed liquor as an adsorption medium. <br />10. Modify gravity thickener piping to eliminate backwater <br />flooding at peak flows. <br />11. Add new fine screening for primary and secondary sludges. <br />12. Add new mixing/flocculating tanks upstream of primary <br />sedimentation for chemical treatment. <br />13. Add new chemical feed equipment for phosphorus removal. <br />14. Add residual chlorine control equipment. <br />15. Add rapid sand filters to operate in parallel with <br />existing microscreens. <br />16. Modify aeration and secondary clarification equipment <br />to handle powdered carbon sludge. <br />17. Modify existing service vehicle areas to accomodate up <br />. to six (6) vehicles. <br />18. Modify existing solids handling building to include new <br />office space. <br />19. Replace existing mechanical and electrical equipment in <br />the Thickener Control building, the Oxidized Sludge <br />building, and the North Primary Treatment Control <br />building which has been damaged by corrosion from <br />wastewater vapors. <br />
