CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 80- g5 BY: Dean McKa AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 373.05 OF THE TRAFFIC CODE ENTITLED "LICENSE APPLICATION, FEE AND TERM" OF CHAPTER 373 ENTITLED "BICYCLES AND BICYCLE REGISTRATION". WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the Licensing Section with respect to bicycles and has determined that the cost of processing applications for bicycle licenses has increased, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to update the license and registration fees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That Section 373.05 of the Traffic Code entitled "License Application, Fee and Term" of Chapter 373 entitled "Bicycles and Bicycle Registration", which now reads: "373.05 LICENSE APPLICATION, FEE AND TERM. Application for registration of a bicycle shall be made to the Chief of Police upon forms provided by him. Such application shall contain the name and address of the applicant, the name and address of the owner's parents or guardian in the event the applica- cant is a minor, the make, color and serial number or other identifying marks of the bicycle and other information as the Chief of Police shall deem pertinent. Subsec{uent to the effective date of this chapter, all licenses. sold will be effective for three years and will cost one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25). On January 1, 1965, all licenses issued prior to the effective date of this chapter will expire and must be replaced with th_e new three-year license." be and the same is hereby amended and as amended shall read as follows: 373.05 LICENSE APPLICATION, FEE AND TERM. (a) Application for registration of a bicycle shall be made to the Chief of Police upon forms provided by him. Such. application shall contain the name and address of the applicant, the name and address of the owner's parents or guardian in the event the appli- cant is a minor, the make, color and serial number or other identifying marks of the bicycle and other information as the Chief of Police shall deem pertinent. (b) Effective October 1, 1980, the license fee for a three- year period shall be two dollars. (.$2.00). All licenses issued prior to October 1, 1980, shall continue to be in effect until its expira- tion. SECTION 2: That Section 373.05 as previously adopted is hereby repeale with. the effective date of this ordinance, together with any other ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
