RESOLUTION N0. 80-49 <br />i <br />BY : ~ , ~~~ <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO APPLY FOR <br />A FEDERAL GRANT FOR OUTDOOR RECREATION <br />PURPOSES IN NORTH OLMSTED PARK (PHASE "A") <br />IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MASTER PLAN, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 <br />(Public Law 88-578) provides financial assistance to the State of Ohio for <br />outdoor recreation purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires financial assistance under <br />the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Council of the City of North Olmsted hereby ap- <br />proves~iling an Application for Land and Water Conservation Fund Act fi- <br />ancial assistance. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute <br />and file an application with the Department of Natural Resources, State of <br />Ohio, and to provide all information and documentation rec{uired in said ap- <br />plication for submission to the Federal Bureau of Outdoor Recreation. <br />SECTION 3: That the Council of the City of North Olmsted does hereby <br />agree to obligate the funds rec{uired to satisfactorily complete the proposed <br />project and thus become eligible for Land and Water Conservation Fund Act <br />financial aid of fifty percent (500) of the actual allowable reimbursement <br />cost. <br />SECTION 4: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and wel- <br />fare and for the further reason that the City lacks funds for outdoor recrea- <br />tion purposes, and further provided it received the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ,3 _ / f' ~/ <br />ATTEST: <br />LORENCE CAMPBELL, CL K OF COUNCIL <br />PRO D: 3/3 g/ <br />DE H.
