,ate <br />.<. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 80- 15 <br />BY. <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE RESURFACING <br />OF THE AREA AT THE NORTH OLMSTED RECREATION COMPLEX <br />WHICH IS PRESENTLY BEING UTILIZED FOR BASKETBALL <br />COURTS, TOGETHER WITH THE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS <br />FOR THE ERECTION OF THE BASKETBALL BACKBOARD AND <br />BASKETS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the initial surface of the basketball courts located <br />at the North Olmsted Recreation Complex was installed by the City <br />crews, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to establish a <br />finished surface on the basketball courts, and at the same time, <br />to erect backboards and baskets. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is <br />hereby aut orized to advertise for bids for the resurfacing of the <br />basketball courts at the North Olmsted Recreation Complex, together <br />with the advertising for bids for the erection of backboards and <br />baskets servicing the same area, all of which shall be in accordance <br />with. specifications now on file in his Office, and that upon approval <br />by the Board of Control the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into <br />a contact and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />it is necessary to improve the basketball courts for summer play, <br />and further provided it receives an affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~a~~,5/~ /9~a <br />ATE T <br />REN E PBELL, E K OUNCIL <br />D : t.,~„ 1~. 1 ~0 <br />First reading: ~ b <br />Second reading: ~ o <br />Third reading: 3 <br />i~` ' . <br />DE E LIMPERT, P ESIDENT OF <br />COUNCIL. <br />s <br />
