<br />All full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous <br />service as an employee of the City after January 1, 2009, shall be paid an additional five hundred dollars <br />($500.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter until completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time <br />service; after completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time continuous service, such personnel shall <br />receive one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter until completion of their <br />fifteenth (15th) year of full-time continuous service; after completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time <br />continous service, such personnel shall receive one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) as annual <br />longevity increments thereafter until completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time continuous service; <br />after completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time continous service, such personnel shall receive two <br />thousand dollars ($2,000.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter for so long as they continue to be full- <br />time employees of the City. <br />(c) Full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance hired after April 30, 2008 shall not be entitled to receive <br />longevity pay under wither paragraph (a) or (b) above. Full-time elected officials shall not be entitled to <br />receive longevity pay under either paragraph (a) or (b) above for terms of office that begin on the 1st day of <br />January 2010, or thereafter. <br />Section 19: Holidays and Personal Davs That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall <br />receive the following holidays off, unless required to work by their supervisor or the Mayor in emergencies, <br />and shall receive their regular rate of pay: New Year's Day; Presidents' Day; one-half (1/2) day on Good <br />Friday; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; the day after Thanksgiving Day; <br />one-half (1/2) day on Christmas Eve Day; Christmas Day; and one-half (1/2) day on New Year's Eve Day. <br />Employees hired between January 1st and June 30th of any given year shall receive three (3) personal days <br />upon their date of hire. <br />All full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance hired between July 1st and December 31st of any given <br />year shall receive one and one-half (1'/Z) personal days upon their date of hire. Personal days must be used <br />before the end of the year in which they were earned and are not eligible for buy back. Following the first <br />year of employment, these employees will earn their personal days on January 1st of each subsequent year. <br />Section 20: Vacation That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall be entitled to an annual <br />vacation in accordance with Section 161.11 of the Administrative Code. All previous service as an elected <br />city public official within the city shall be considered full-time for the purpose of calculating vacation and sick <br />leave upon retirement. <br />Section 21: Attendance Bonus Davs That all full-time personnel who do not use sick leave time for any <br />calendar quarter (i.e., Jan-Mar, Apr-Jun, Jul-Sep, or Oct-Dec), shall receive eight (8) hours of paid time off. <br />In addition, full-time personnel who do not use sick leave time for any calendar half (i.e., Jan-Jun, or Jul- <br />Dec), shall receive an additional eight (8) hours of paid time off for each such calendar half. (This provision <br />shall be construed so that employees may receive no more than a maximum of forty-eight (48) hours each <br />calendar year.) Such attendance bonus days may be taken at a time mutually agreeable to the City and the <br />employee and they must be taken within one year of the date they are earned. Up to one absence per year <br />for attending a funeral may be used without affecting eligibility for bonus days. <br />Section 22: Boot Allowance That the following full-time employees shall be reimbursed by the City in an <br />amount not to exceed $200 annually for the purchase or purchases of boots by such employees for use in <br />their employment with the City of North Olmsted: Public Works Foremen; Fleet Manager; Waste Water <br />Treatment Plant Superintendent; Waste Water Treatment Plant Assistant Superintendents (Plant and <br />Collections); Waste Water Collection System Foreman; Laboratory Chemist; and Golf Course Maintenance <br />Supervisor. Said full-time employees shall be entitled to receive such reimbursement in any year by <br />presenting to the Finance Department, no later than by the 15th day of June of that year, receipts which <br />document his or her expenditure or expenditures, during the immediately preceding one year period, for the <br />purchase of such boots. Upon timely submittal of such documentation to the Finance Department no later <br />than by the 15th day of June of any year, the City shall reimburse such employee at the next pay day that <br />falls in the month of July. <br />Page 8 of 9 <br />
