s ~ ~„ -~ls <br />~., ,,. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2009 - 137 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />COMMUNITYLIFE SER VICES TO APPL Y FOR FUNDS FROM <br />THE WESTERN RESER VE AREA A GENCY ON A GING FOR <br />THE CITY'S PROGRAMS UNDER THE TITLE III OF THE <br />OLDER AMERICANS ACT (HOT LUNCH PROGRAM) AND <br />THE CAREGIVER PROGRAMS, AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO A CCEPT THE GRANT, IF <br />AWARDED, AND TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE RECEIPT OF THE GRANT, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMER GENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Community Life Services desires to apply for funds from the <br />Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging for the City's programs under the Title III of the Older <br />Americans Act (Hot Lunch Program) and the Caregiver Programs; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Community Life <br />Services to apply for said grant, and to further authorize the Mayor to accept the grant, if awarded, on <br />behalf of the City and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate receipt of the grant; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITI' OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Community Life Services be and hereby is authorized to <br />apply for funds from the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging for the City's programs under the <br />Title III of the older Americans Act (Hot bunch Program) and the Caregiver Programs. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized, on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted, to accept the said grant, if awarded, and to execute all documents necessary to effectuate <br />receipt of the grant. <br />SECTION 3: 'That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further <br />reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to meet the <br />November 20, 2009 application deadline: and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />
