~....~„ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.2009 -123 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF' THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION <br />AND ENFORCEMENT OF A NO PARKING-LOADING ZONE SIGN ON <br />THE TREE LAWN OF THE RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />6609 CYPRESS AVE.'VUE PROHIBITING PARKING AT THAT <br />LOCATION BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6 AMAND 6 PM WEEKDAYS. <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer, the Chief of Police, and the Director of Public Safety, following study <br />and review, have found and determined that a safety issue exists at 6609 Cypress Avenue as a result of parking <br />at said location which interferes with the ingress and egress of vehicles for a disabled person living near this <br />location; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, based upon those findings and expert opinions, has determined that it is in the <br />best interest of the safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted to prohibit the parl.ing <br />of motor vehicles at 6609 Cypress Avenue weekdays between the hours of 6 AM to 6 PM, and accordingly, by <br />the adoption of this Ordinance, desires to do so; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic Control File, <br />which file can be amended only by Ordinance duly adopted by this Council; <br />NOW THERETORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND THE STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Depat•trnent be and is hereby authorized and directed to amend the <br />Traffic Contr~~l File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the installation of a no parking-loading <br />zone sign (sign R7-6 of the OMU"TCD 005, Section 2B39-2B41) prohibiting the motor vehicles at 6609 <br />Cypress Avenue weekdays between thc- hours of 6 AM and 6 PM. <br />SECTION 2: That the iVlayor be and is hereby authorized to cause an appropriate sign or signs to be <br />installed on (:vpress Avenue in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance and the Ohio Manual of <br />Uniform Traffic Control Devices. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance he in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law. <br />PASSED: ~~f~ ~Ul~ ~(~( <br />ATTEST: ~ ~/~~ <br />-1dA E GAI,LO <br />Clerk of'Coamcil <br />First Reading: Q G 0 <br />Second Reading: lO~ 6 __ <br />Third Readin~.• ~~,~(~~//~i(/~,Q_ <br />Committee: `+1~-"/3-~Y-w(iL•'/•-7`l:1•,~3 -1LS~/C}~/~~~ ~~- <br />KEVIN M.
