~...~...~.~.,~..,..-.~., ~~, ,.~..H_~ <br />•. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009 - 118 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING OF AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO COLLECTIVE BARGAINING <br />AGREEMENTS WITH THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE <br />("FOP ")/OHIO LABOR COUNCIL, FOR THE POLICE <br />OFFICERS AND CORRECTIONS OFFICERS, FOR THE <br />PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2009, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2011, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the collective bargaining agreements negotiated by and between <br />the Administration and the Fraternal Order of Police ("FOP")/Ohio Labor Council, for the <br />Police Officers and Corrections Officers, for the period January 1, 2009, through December <br />31, 201, copies of which are on file in the office of the Director of Human Resources, are <br />hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the said agreements. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of <br />this City and for the further reason that this Resolution is required to be immediately effective <br />because the last collective bargaining agreements for these bargaining units expired on <br />December 31, 2008; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote oftwo-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~_~-~?~_~_- <br />ATTEST: <br />MARIE GALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />APPROVED: h ~I ~ <br />- ~- ~ ---- <br />MAYOR THOMAS E.
