/"~ ~- <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009 - 117 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING OF AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF <br />STATE, COUNTYAND MUNICIPAL E1VIPLOYEES ("AFSCME"), <br />OHIO COUNCIL 8, LOCAL 2681, FOR THE SERVICE UNIT <br />EMPLOYEES, FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 2009, THROUGH <br />JUNE 30, 2012, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CI?'Y OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the collective bargaining agreement negotiated by and between the <br />Administration and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees <br />("AFSCME"), Ohio Council 8, Local 2681, for the Service Unit Employees, for the period <br />July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2012, copies of which are on file in the office of the Director of <br />Human Resources, are hereby approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the said <br />agreement. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of <br />this City and for the further reason that this Resolution is required to be immediately effective <br />because the last collective bargaining agreement expired on June 30, 2009; and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: _ ~_~_Lb ~~'1~--- <br />ATT T: <br />.~4RIE GALLO <br />Clerk n f Council > q <br />APPROVED: ld / ~~~~1 <br />MAYOR THOMAS E GRADY <br />First Reading: ~~~,~~~__ ___ <br />Second Reading.• -~,~-~°-- f - <br />Third Reading: ~_ <br />Committee: J~~'C~---- <br />~~ ~- ~ --- <br />KE l'IN M.
