All Inspectors shall receive as an Inspector Certifi cation incentive the amount specified in the <br />bargaining unit agreement for the particular year. <br />Section 16: That all pay ranges and amounts established will be effective no earlier than January 1st of the <br />respective year. Salaries specified in this Ordinance shall be paid by the Director of Finance on a biweekly <br />basis. <br />Section 17: Fair Labor Standards Act ("ELBA")/Compensatory ("Comp") Time That, upon approval of <br />the Mayor or respective Director, all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance, except for those holding <br />Elected or Director positions, the Police Chief, the Fire Chief, and personnel determined by the City to be <br />exempt from the overtime provisions of the "ELBA", will be paid time and one-half their straight time rates of <br />pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one work week, unless the Mayor or their respective <br />Director has established and implemented a comp time policy for such personnel that is not in conflict with <br />either the FLSA or Section 161.13 of the Administrative Code. Double time, or comp time if applicable, shall <br />be paid to said personnel for Sundays and Holidays provided they have worked at least forty (40) hours in the <br />said work week. <br />Section 18: Longevity (a) That, except as provided in paragraph (c) below, all full-time personnel listed <br />within this Ordinance who were hired by the City prior to January 1, 2005, having completed five (5) years of <br />full-time service as an employee of the City shall be paid an additional four percent (4%) of their base annual <br />salary thereafter as longevity increments until completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service; after <br />completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service, such personnel shall receive five percent (5%) of their <br />base annual salary thereafter as longevity increments until completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time <br />service; after completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time service, such personnel shall receive six <br />percent (6%) of their base annual salary thereafter as longevity increments until completion of their twentieth <br />(20th) year of full-time service; and after completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time service, such <br />personnel shall receive seven percent (7%) of their base annual salary thereafter as longevity increments for <br />so long as they continue to be full-time employees of the City. <br />(b) Effective January 1, 2009, except as provided in paragraph (c) below, all full-time personnel listed within <br />this Ordinance, having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous service and are being compensated <br />longevity under the percent of base pay as of January 1, 2009, shall continue to receive the fixed amount on <br />the base rate of pay on January 1, 2009, until such time as the table below provides a greater benefit, then the <br />table will control. <br />All full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance having completed five (5) years of full-time continuous <br />service as an employee of the City after January 1, 2009, shall be paid an additional five hundred dollars <br />($500.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter until completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time <br />service; after completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time continuous service, such personnel shall receive <br />one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter until completion of their fifteenth <br />(15th) year offull-time continuous service; after completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time continous <br />service, such personnel shall receive one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) as annual longevity <br />increments thereafter until completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time continuous service; after <br />completion of their twentieth (20th) year of full-time continous service, such personnel shall receive two <br />thousand dollars ($2,000.00) as annual longevity increments thereafter for so long as they continue to be full- <br />time employees of the City. <br />Page 6 of 8 <br />
