.~.~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2009 - 106 <br />BY: -Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR COPY MACHINE LEASES AND <br />SERVICE AGREEMENTS, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, <br />AFTER BOARD OF CONTROL APPROVAL, TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT <br />WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the City currently has copy machine leases and service agreements which <br />are due to expire on December 31, 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for new copy machine leases and service agreements and authorize the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best <br />bidder; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for copy machine leases and service agreements, all of which shall be in <br />accordance with specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval by the Board of <br />Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf <br />of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: <br />That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and further for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect <br />immediately in order to provide the Director of Public Service with sufficient time to <br />conduct and complete the bidding process and for the Board of Control to award a new <br />contract or contracts prior to the end of this year when the current copier leases and <br />service agreements expire, and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor . <br />PASSED: D~9G~ (~, aGYJg First Reading: `~ /..~1 <br />Second Reading.• Q _ <br />Third Reading: _ <br />Committee: ~~.N ~,~~~ <br />
