By: Mayor O'Grady: <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE WESTSHORE COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS <br />AND EMERGENCY SERVICES CONSULTING INTERNATIONAL TO <br />PROVIDE CONSULTING SERVICES TO DEVELOP A COOPERATIVE <br />AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSOLIDATION OF FIRE SERVICES, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ~CO~INCIL OF THE CITY OF' <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement <br />with the Westshore Council of Governments ("WCOG") and Emergency Services Consulting <br />International, 249 Normandy Road, Mooresville, North Carolina, to provide consulting services <br />to develop a cooperative agreement for the consolidation of fire services according to the Scope <br />of Work (attached hereto as "Exhibit A"). Said work to be performed under contract at a total <br />cost to WCOG not to exceed One Hundred Thirty Seven Thousand, Four Hundred Ninety-Two <br />Dollars ($137,492.00). <br />SECTION 2. One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) of said total cost is bei.~g <br />paid for from the Fund for the Economic Development/Efficient Gov Now Grant. <br />SECTION 3. The remaining cost associated with said contract shall be charged to each <br />City on the basis often percent (10%) of the contract being shared equally, with the remaining <br />ninety percent (90%) being allocated based on each city's percentage of population to the total <br />population of the seven communities as previously allocated for the Central Dispatch, the <br />calculation of which is set forth in attached "Exhibit B." <br />SECTION 4. The cities of Bay Village, Fairview Park, Lakewood, North Olmsted, <br />Rocky River and Westlake will have their respective costs charged against the COG Reserves <br />and therefore will owe no additional amount to pay their portion of said contract. <br />SECTION 5. That this Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were taken in an open meeting <br />of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council and of any committee that resulted i:_ <br />those formal actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with law. <br />
