~-~ ° "" ,, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009 - 70 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />BOARD OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR THE ASSET <br />TRANSFER OF EQUIPMENT PURCHASED WITH FY2005 AND FY2006 <br />HOMELAND SECURITY GRANTS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Director of Public Safety have recommended that the City <br />enter into an agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners providing for the <br />City to receive 130 replacements CBRNE canister for Millennium respirators totaling $3,274.70, <br />four (4) MSA Gas Masks with clear lens (medium) totaling $714.00, four (4) Tinted Poly lens <br />(Medium) totaling $110.40, eight (8) MSA Filter Canisters totaling $210.00, and four (4) First <br />responder PPE Kits - XL totaling $349.84, to be purchased by the County with FY2005 and <br />FY2006 Homeland Security Grants (SHSBP and UASI); and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor, on behalf of the City <br />to enter into said agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized, on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted, to enter into an agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners <br />for the purposes of receiving title to and possession of 130 replacements CBRNE canister for <br />Millennium respirators, four (4) MSA Gas Masks with clear lens (medium), four (4) Tinted Poly <br />lens (Medium), eight (8) MSA Filter Canisters, and four (4) First responder PPE Kits - XL to be <br />purchased by the County with FY2005 and FY2006 Homeland Security Grants (SHSBP and <br />UASI). <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in order to meet <br />the response deadline established by the County; and further provided that it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
