CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2009 - 52 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CRACKSEALING ON VARIOUS <br />STREETS IN THE CITY, AS PER SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN HIS <br />OFFICE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the bid specifications, as prepared by the Director of Public Service, are on <br />file with the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for cracksealing on various streets in the City, and to further authorize the <br />Mayor to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED B Y THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for cracksealing on various streets in the City of North Olmsted according to <br />plans and specifications now on file in his office and that the Mayor is hereby authorized, upon <br />approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City <br />of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately due to earlier <br />bidding in the construction season should create more competi+yon; <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~d~/~-~- ~, a t~ 0 First Reading: ~~ t G ~/ <br />Second Reading: 5~ (~ l 4 ~! <br />ATTES . <br />BAR ARA L.
