A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF HEALTH TO USE THE NORTH OLMSTED SERVICE DEPARTMENT GARAGE AS A POINT OF DISPENSING ("POD ") DISEASE PREVENTION AND CONTROL FACILITY IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Service that the City enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health providing for the Board of Health to use the North Olmsted Service Department Garage as a point of dispensing ("POD") disease prevention and control facility in the event of an emergency; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the recommendation of the Director of Public Service, to authorize the Mayor to enter into such a contract to promote the health, safety and welfare of the North Olmsted community; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: The Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract, a copy of which is attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A," with the Cuyahoga County General Health District to provide for the Board of Health to use the North Olmsted Service Department Garage as a point of dispensing ("POD") disease prevention and control facility in the event of an emergency. SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order for the City to timely participate in this County Board of Health program, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of alp members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
