• °~~,' ,, CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION N0.2009 -13 By: Mayor O'Grady A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TD ENTER INTO ONE- YEAR RENEWAL CONTRACTS WITH TAC COMPUTER INC. IN ORDER TO PRO VIDE FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES TO VARIOUS COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE OHIO LAW ENFORCEMENT NETWORK AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City's current contracts with TAC Computer Inc., providing maintenance and repair services for certain computer hardware and software at the Police Department, and annual membership in the Ohio Law Enforcement Network ("GLEN"), expired on December 31, 2008; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Chief of Police that said contracts be renewed for the year 2009, because of the quality of the services provided over the years and the unavailability of such services elsewhere; and WHEREAS, it is not necessary to competitively bid said contracts because the expenditures to be made under the two proposed renewal contracts will not exceed $25,000.00; and WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into one year renewal contracts with TAC Computer Inc. to provide the support services for the Police Department set forth above; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into one-year renewal contracts with TAC Computer Inc., for the period January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009, in order to provide maintenance and repair service for the Police Department server, digital data backup system, Sonicwall, CAD software support, MDT interface and CRIS upload system, and for the City's annual membership in the Ohio Law Enforcement Network ("GLEN"). The renewal contracts shall be in form and substance of the attached two Flat Rate Service Agreements, having a total of three (3) pages, marked as Exhibit A and attached hereto, with only such changes to be hereinafter made in said contracts as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the Agreement by the Director of Law.
