• °~~,' ,, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2009 -13 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TD ENTER INTO ONE- <br />YEAR RENEWAL CONTRACTS WITH TAC COMPUTER INC. IN ORDER <br />TO PRO VIDE FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES TO <br />VARIOUS COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE AT THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT, AND FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE OHIO LAW <br />ENFORCEMENT NETWORK AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City's current contracts with TAC Computer Inc., providing <br />maintenance and repair services for certain computer hardware and software at the Police <br />Department, and annual membership in the Ohio Law Enforcement Network ("GLEN"), expired <br />on December 31, 2008; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Chief of Police that said contracts be <br />renewed for the year 2009, because of the quality of the services provided over the years and the <br />unavailability of such services elsewhere; and <br />WHEREAS, it is not necessary to competitively bid said contracts because the <br />expenditures to be made under the two proposed renewal contracts will not exceed $25,000.00; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter <br />into one year renewal contracts with TAC Computer Inc. to provide the support services for the <br />Police Department set forth above; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into one-year <br />renewal contracts with TAC Computer Inc., for the period January 1, 2009 through December 31, <br />2009, in order to provide maintenance and repair service for the Police Department server, digital <br />data backup system, Sonicwall, CAD software support, MDT interface and CRIS upload system, <br />and for the City's annual membership in the Ohio Law Enforcement Network ("GLEN"). The <br />renewal contracts shall be in form and substance of the attached two Flat Rate Service <br />Agreements, having a total of three (3) pages, marked as Exhibit A and attached hereto, with <br />only such changes to be hereinafter made in said contracts as are not substantially adverse to the <br />City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not <br />being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the <br />Agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the Agreement by the Director of Law. <br />
