,~., <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009 - 3 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO A CONTRACT WITH CINTAS CORPORATION TO <br />PROVIDE UNIFORM RENTAL SERVICES TO THE CITY'S <br />WASTEWATER TREATMENT EMPLOYEES, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City, per its collective bargaining agreement with the City's <br />Service workers, is required to provide uniforms to employees who so request; and <br />WHEREAS, the Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant has had <br />requests for uniform service from Wastewater Treatment employees and, after obtaining <br />quotes from three prospective vendors, recommends that the City enter into a contract <br />with Cintas Corporation ("Cintas"), a Nevada corporation authorized to conduct business <br />in Ohio, to provide such requested service; and <br />WHEREAS, the total expenditure in this proposed contract is an amount that is <br />less than the minimum amount for mandatory competitive bidding; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the said <br />recommendation, to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cintas to provide <br />said services to the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized enter into a contract <br />with Cintas Corporation to provide uniform rental services to the City's Wastewater <br />Treatment employees. Said contract shall be in the form of the document entitled "Cintas <br />Standard Uniform Rental Service Agreement," consisting of two (2) pages, marked as <br />Exhibit A, and attached hereto, with only such changes to said contract to be hereinafter <br />made as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by the Director <br />of Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City <br />shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreements by the Mayor and the <br />approval of the agreements by the Director of Law. <br />
