~. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.2009 - 2 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE TO SELL AT AUCTION AS SURPLUS <br />CITY PERSONAL PROPERTY, A 2005 FORD CROWN <br />VICTORIA AUTOMOBILE, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City's Department of Public Service possesses a 2005 Ford Crown <br />Victoria automobile, formerly used by the North Olmsted Police Department, which the Director <br />of Public Service has determined is surplus personal property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service, acting pursuant to Section 955.02 of the <br />Codified Ordinances, has further determined that the said vehicle has a fair market value in <br />excess of $1,500.00; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting pursuant to Article IV, Section 13(d) <br />of the Charter and Section 955.02 of the Codified Ordinances to authorize the Director of Public <br />Service to sell said vehicle at public auction for the best price available; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED B Y THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to dispose of the <br />following surplus City personal property, to-wit: a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria automobile, Serial <br />No. 2FAHP71W25X150068, by selling it at public auction for the best price available; and <br />further that the Mayor is authorized to execute any documents required to effectuate the <br />conveyance of the title to said automobile. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately so that the value <br />of said vehicle is not further diminished to the financial detriment of the City, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />`~ti <br />PASSED: ~``~~.~~~. ~~' ~ ~~G~ First Reading: l ~, <br />f,.
