<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-144 <br />BY: MAYOR MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY LOCA TED AT 2 744 7-2 7481 LORAIIV ROAD, <br />NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO FOR THE PURPOSE OF CARRYING OUT THE INTENT <br />OF THE VOTERS OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RELATIVE TO THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW LIBRARYAND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the voters of the City of North Olmsted on November 7, 2000 passed a bond <br />issue for the purpose of acquiring property and constructing a new Library; and <br />WHEREA.S, this Council heretofore authorized and directed the Director of Law of the City <br />of North Olmsted, to negotiate for the acquisition of a11 property necessary for the construction of <br />said Library; and <br />WHEREAS, the Direetor of Law has consistent with the order of Council to do the same, <br />successfully negotiated a contract with C& C Realty, an Ohio Partnership, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A". <br />1VOW; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY 4F CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />Ageement in the substarnial form as that which is attached hereto and made a part hereof and mazked <br />Exhibit "A" with C& C Realty, an Ohio Partnership for the acquisition of property located at 27447- <br />27481 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />SECTION 2: This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for <br />the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare within the City <br />for the further reason it is immediately necessary to acquire property so that plans for the <br />coordination of construetion can commence and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of a11 the members of Council, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it sha11 take effect and be in <br />force after the earliest period allowed by law.
