(b) The Traffic Control File existing as of the date of passage of this Traffic <br />Code is incorporated as a part of this Traffic Code. The File shall be prepared and <br />maintained to date by the Police Division. <br />(c) Council may amend the Traffic Control File by ordinance, but no such <br />ordinance shall be enforceable until after the effective date of the ordinance and the <br />official signs, signals or markings are erected or placed in proper position. <br />The Police Division upon receipt of a copy of the amending ordinance sha11 record the <br />information in the File to conform with the ordinance provisions. <br />(d) Subject to the approval of Council by motion, the Mayor and/or Director <br />of Public Safety may amend the File, but no such amendment shall be enforceable until <br />after the official signs, signals and markings are erected or placed in proper position. The <br />Police Division, upon notification of the amendment, shall record the information in the <br />File." <br />SECT'ION 3: That all existing crosswalks in the City are hereby approved by <br />this Council for inclusion in the Traffic Control File. <br />SECTION 4: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the additional reason that this Ordinance must go into effective <br />immediately so that all existing crosswalks immediately become subject to the traffic <br />control file of the City, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST.• <br />First Reading: <br />Second Reading: <br />Third Reading_•, <br />Committee: ?. - 1i .?
