CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 124 BY: COUNCIL MEMBER THOMAS O'GRADY A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING UNITED STATES CONGRESSMAN DENNIS %UCINICH (OHIO, DISTRICT 10) FOR HIS ON- GOING SUPPORT OF THE YOUTH OF THIS COMMUNITY, AND DECI.ARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Congressman Dennis Kucinich has repeatedly sought to support and educate the youth of this community; and WHEREAS, Congressman Dennis Kucinich has provided direct assistance to North Olmsted Nfiddle School students each year as they have visited our nation's capitol, to include inviting many classes onto the floor of Congress; and WHEREAS, during this most tragic time in our nation's history, Congressman Kucinich visited North Olmsted Middle School, met with all of its students and teachers, took the time to answer questions, explain the situation, and reassure our community; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OffiO: SECTION 1: That the members of Council of the City of North Olmsted personally and collectively, and on behalf of the Mayor and the administration and a11 residents of the city, extend their thanks to Congressman Kucinich for his efforts on behalf of our city's youth. SECTION 2: Further that this Resolution be spread in full upon the records of tius Council, and that the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward a duly authenticated and executed copy of this Resolution to United States Congressman Dennis Kucinich. SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency mea.sure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfaze of the residents of the City of North Olmsted and for the further reason that it is necessary that tlus Resolution go into effect immediately so that it may, upon passage, be immediately transmitted to Congressman
