<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001- 124 <br />BY: COUNCIL MEMBER THOMAS O'GRADY <br />A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING UNITED STATES <br />CONGRESSMAN DENNIS %UCINICH (OHIO, DISTRICT 10) FOR HIS ON- <br />GOING SUPPORT OF THE YOUTH OF THIS COMMUNITY, AND DECI.ARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Congressman Dennis Kucinich has repeatedly sought to support and educate <br />the youth of this community; and <br />WHEREAS, Congressman Dennis Kucinich has provided direct assistance to North <br />Olmsted Nfiddle School students each year as they have visited our nation's capitol, to include <br />inviting many classes onto the floor of Congress; and <br />WHEREAS, during this most tragic time in our nation's history, Congressman Kucinich <br />visited North Olmsted Middle School, met with all of its students and teachers, took the time to <br />answer questions, explain the situation, and reassure our community; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OffiO: <br />SECTION 1: That the members of Council of the City of North Olmsted personally and <br />collectively, and on behalf of the Mayor and the administration and a11 residents of the city, extend <br />their thanks to Congressman Kucinich for his efforts on behalf of our city's youth. <br />SECTION 2: Further that this Resolution be spread in full upon the records of tius <br />Council, and that the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to forward a duly authenticated and <br />executed copy of this Resolution to United States Congressman Dennis Kucinich. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency mea.sure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfaze of the residents <br />of the City of North Olmsted and for the further reason that it is necessary that tlus Resolution go <br />into effect immediately so that it may, upon passage, be immediately transmitted to Congressman
