CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.2001-105 <br />BY: MAYOR MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH THE OHIO COUNCIL 8 ANID LOCAL 2681 <br />OF THE AlVERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND <br />MUNICII'AL EMI'LOYEES, COVERING SERVICE AND WASTE <br />WATER TREATMENT PLANT EMI'LOYEES, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation <br />calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements with public employees; and <br />WHEREAS, THE Service Department and Wastewater Treatment Plant <br />employees of the City of North Olmsted, through Ohio Council 8 and Local #2681 of the <br />American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, has been recognized as <br />the exclusive bargaining agent for the Service Department employees and Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of the Service <br />Department and Wastewater Treatment Plant employees and concluded that bargaining <br />with an agreement which is satisfactory to the Administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into the <br />Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated by the Administration. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with the Ohio Council8 <br />and Local #2681 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal employees, a <br />copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked, "Exhibit <br />A". <br />Section 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and fringe benefits specified <br />in said Agreement shall be July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2004
