JOB DESCR(PTION; <br />POS(TION TITLE: SURVEY CREW CHIEF <br />DEPARTMENT: DIVISION OF ENGINEERING <br />RESPONSIBLE T0; CITY ENGINEER <br />RESPONSIBLE FOR: Surveying activities conducted by the Division of <br />Engineering. <br />DESCRIPTION 0F DUTIES: <br />1. Conduct foundation and grade checks for all construction under the jurisdicfion of the <br />Division of Engineering. <br />2. Inspect final grades of all new construction to ascertain compliance with approvaf plans. <br />3. inspect ali sites needing landscaping inspections wifh respect to grade lines. <br />4. Conduct necessary investigations relating to grading or drainage. <br />5. Mainfiain records of survey monuments within the City, <br />6. Update and record benchmarks in the City. <br />7. Maintain survey records of alf City owned properties. <br />8. Layout cemetery lots as required for burials. <br />9. Maintain accurate files of survey plafs recorded. <br />10. Review survey information submitted to fhe City Engineer for review. <br />11. Maintain all necessary survey equipment <br />12. Supervise survey crews. <br />13, Construction layout of City projects. <br />14. Other duties as assigned. <br />67
