CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-84 <br />By: Mayor Norman Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE AND <br />IN5TALLATION OF A NEW ENTRANCEWAY SIGN FOR THE NORTH <br />OLMSTED RECREATION COMPLEX AS DETAILED IN THE <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted is desirous of purchasing and <br />installing a new entranceway sign for the City's Recreation Complex, and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications for said entranceway sign are on file in the <br />Office of the Director of Public Safety, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />agreement providing for the purchase and installation of said sign from the lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the purchase and installation of a new entranceway sign for the North <br />Olmsted Recreation Complex as detailed in the specifications now on file in his office and that, <br />upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract <br />and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that this legislation must take effect immediately because the old entranceway sign <br />to the Recreation Complex is gone and the new sign must be purchased and installed immediately, <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
