CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-75 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE OHIO PATROLMEN' S <br />BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION, WHICH AGREEMENT IS <br />THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY AND THE NORTH OLMSTED EMERGENCY <br />CENTRAL DISPATCHERS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation <br />calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements with public employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Emergency Central Dispatchers through the Ohio Patrolmen's <br />Benevolent Association has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for the <br />Emergency Central Dispatchers; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of the <br />Emergency Central Dispatchers and concluded that bargaining with an agreement which <br />is satisfactory to the Administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into <br />the Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated by the Administration. <br />NOW, T'HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF TBE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with the Ohio <br />Patrolmen's Benevolent Association and the Emergency Central Dispatchers, a copy of <br />which Agreement is attached hereto and marked, "Exhibit A." <br />Section 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and fringe benefits <br />specified in said Agreement shall be July 1, 2001.
