CTTY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001 - 68 <br />By: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION STRONGLY URGING THE TRANSPORTA- <br />TION REVIEW ADVISORY COUNCIL (TRAC) TO APPROVE <br />THE LORAIN ROAD (STATE ROUTE 10) IMPROVEMENTS <br />AND APPROACH WORK AT THE INTERSECTION OF <br />STEARNS ROAD (COUNTY ROAD 76), AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted desires to have Loram <br />Road, Stearns Road and its approaches widened at the intersection of Lorain Road and <br />Stearns Road to provide for improved traffic flow and to eliminate traffic congestion, and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to pursue Federal aid to fund this work, the City will <br />pay or obtain any non-Federal matching funds required, and <br />WHEREAS, the City hereby agrees to abide by all NOACA policies, and <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted desires to urge the <br />Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC) to approve same. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII., OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Council hereby strongly urges the TRAC to approve the Lorain Road <br />improvements and approach work at the intersection of Stearns Road. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the North Olmsted Engineering Department <br />for the inclusion of same in a TRAC application to be sent to Michael Cull, TRAC <br />Coordinator, Ohio Department of Transportation, 1980 West Broad Street, Columbus, <br />Ohio 43223. <br />SECTION 3: That this legislation is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for <br />the further reason that it is immediately necessary to urge the TRAC to approve the <br />Lorain Road "vnprovements and approach work, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
