CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001 - 57 <br />BY.• MAYOR NORMAN T. M(ISIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREE- <br />MENT WITH SPICE CONSTANTINO ARCHITECTS, INC. TO <br />PROVIDE DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE NEW NORTH <br />OLMSTED PUBLIC LIBRARY AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the voters of the City of North Olmsted, on November 7, 2000, <br />passed a bond issue for the purpose of acquiring property and constructing a new library; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Cuyahoga County Public Library have <br />recommended that the services of the firm of Spice Constantino Architects, Inc. be hired <br />to accomplish the aforesaid services due to their expertise in this field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby <br />express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm for and on behalf <br />of the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION L• That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br />into an agreement with Spice Constantino Architects, Inc. to provide design services for <br />the new North Olmsted Public Library. A copy of said agreement is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof and marked Exbibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for <br />the reason that it is immediately necessary to proceed with the design services for this <br />project, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor.
