CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-45 <br />BY: MAYOR MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CTI'Y OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />TO ENTER INTO A NEW CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT WITH JERRY LUDVIK, <br />THE GOLF PRO AT TFE SPRINGVALE GOLF COURSE FOR TIFIE PERIOD APRII, l, <br />2001, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2001, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, on or about November 26, 1999, the City of North Olmsted entered into a <br />contract of employment with Jerry Ludvik to be the Golf Pro at the City's Springvale Golf Course; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the initial term of said contract of employment was from April 1, 1999 to <br />December 1, 1999; and <br />WHEREAS, said contract was renewed for the April 1 through December 31, 2000, season <br />pursuant to Ordinance No. 2000-162; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize a new contract of employment for <br />Jerry Ludvik for the period April l, 2001, through December 31, 2001. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TIFIE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION L• That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a new contract of <br />employment with Jerry Ludvik, to be golf pro at the Springvale Golf Course for the period April 1, <br />2001, through December 31, 2001, in substantially the form and substance as evidenced in the <br />Contract of Employment attached to this Ordinance as "Exbibit A." <br />SECTION 2: That this Council finds that sufficient funds have been appropriated and set <br />aside this year to pay all monies due to Jerry Ludvik under this Contract of Employment. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further <br />reason that it is necessary that this ordinance immediately go into effect upon adoption because of <br />the immediacy of the start of the golf season, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor.
