CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2001-40 <br />BY: Mayor Norman Musial, and Council Members Thomas O'Grady and Duane <br />Limpert. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC <br />CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED BY REPLACING THE "NO PARKING" <br />SIGNS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF SWEETBRIAR <br />DRIVE, BETWEEN 26864 AND 26820 SWEETBRIAR, <br />WITH "NO PARKING, STOPPING OR STANDING" <br />SIGNS, ONE SIGN WITH AN ARROW POINTING <br />EAST TO BE LOCATED IN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />AT THE WEST PROPERTY LIlVE OF 26864 <br />SWEETBRIAR AND THE OTHER WITH AN <br />ARROW POINTING WEST TO BE LOCATED IN <br />THE RIGHT-OF-WAY AT THE WEST PROPERTY <br />LINE OF 26820 SWEETBRIAR, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council previously adopted Ordinance No. 2000-146 which <br />provided for the posting of "No Parking, Stopping or Standing" signs on the south side <br />of Sweetbriar Drive, between 26821 and 26893 Sweetbriar, in order to protect the <br />safety of Pine Elementary school children who use the crosswalk located there; and <br />WHEREAS, a safety problem for school children still exists at this location due <br />to motor vehicles stopping or standing on the north side of Sweetbriar, despite the <br />existence of "No Parking" signs located there; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council believes that the safety of the school children using <br />the said crosswalk will be promoted by replacing the " No Parking" signs on the north <br />side of Sweetbriar between 26820 and 26864 Sweetbriar, with "No Parking, Stopping <br />or Standing" signs; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of <br />the Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND THE STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized <br />and directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate <br />thereon the replacement of the " No Parking" signs on the north side of Sweetbriar
