?. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-11 <br />By: Mayor Norman Musial and Council Member Thomas O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE IN5TALLATION <br />OF AN IN-GROUND CAUTION LIGHT SYSTEM AT THE <br />CROSSWALK ON BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD NEAREST TO <br />THE DRIVEWAY FOR BUTTERNUT SCHOOL, AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, there exists no traffic signal for the crosswalk on Butternut Ridge <br />Road nearest to the driveway for Butternut Elementary School; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council believes that this crosswalk in its present condition <br />poses a potential traffic safety hazard for the young children who use it on their way to <br />and from school; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council believes that the installation of an in-ground caution <br />light system at this crosswalk will lessen the traffic safety hazard for these children; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of both this Council and the <br />Administration to have the Director of Public Service advertise for bids for the purpose of <br />entering into a contract providing for the installation of an in-ground caution light system <br />at the crosswalk on Butternut Ridge Road nearest to the driveway for Butternut <br />Elementary School; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized <br />to advertise for bids for the installation of an in-ground caution light system at the <br />crosswalk on Butternut Ridge Road nearest to the driveway for Butternut Elementary <br />School, in accordance with specifications now on file in his office; further that, if required
