Ordinance 2001-06 <br />Page 2 <br />WHEREAS, the November 9, 20001ease agreement between the City of North <br />Olmsted and P&H Senesac, Inc. will expire on February 9, 2001, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted is proceeding with the 2000 Dewatering <br />Centrifuge Project - Yard Piping and Sludge Loadout Building (SLB) Modifications <br />Contract as authorized by Ordinance 2000-135 so that the North Olmsted Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant can house and support a permanent complete dewatering centrifuge <br />system and can further reducing the possibility of offsite odors; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service completed the negotiations authorized <br />by Ordinance No. 2000-138 in December 2000 and has determined that the October 9, <br />2000 quotation from P&H Senesac, Inc. has submitted a fair, reasonable and competitive <br />offer for the direct purchase of the leased complete dewatering centrifuge system that has <br />successfully operated at the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment Plant since August 9, <br />2000; and <br />WHEREAS, the October 9, 2000 P&H Senesac, Inc. quotation includes extending <br />the lease of the trailer presently housing the complete dewatering centrifuge system for <br />an additional two months while the Sludge Loadout Building (SLB) modifications in the <br />2000 Dewatering Centrifuge Project - Yard Piping and Sludge Loadout Building (SLB) <br />Modifications Contract is being completed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service, having deterniined that the October 9, <br />2000 quote is fair, reasonable and competitive, is hereby authorized to enter into an <br />agreement with P&H Senesac, Inc. for the direct purchase of the leased, portable <br />complete dewatering centrifuge system currently in use at the Wastewater Treatment <br />Plant. In any event, the cost for said purchase shall not exceed One Hundred and Eighty <br />Two Thousand Dollars ($182,000.00). Upon approval by the Board of Control, the <br />Mayor be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Contract for same. <br />SECTION Z: That the Director of Public Service, having received a quote for the lease of <br />the trailer housing said complete dewatering centrifuge system and support facilities for <br />the months of February 2001 and March 2001, be and is hereby authorized to enter into <br />an agreement with P&H Senesac, Inc. for a two month lease of said trailer and support <br />facilities to house said directly purchased complete dewatering centrifuge system <br />currently in use at the Wastewater Treatment Plant until such time as the Sludge Loadout <br />Building (SLB) modifications in the 2000 Dewatering Centrifuge Project - Yard Fiping <br />and Sludge Loadout Building (SLB) Modifications Contract improvements are <br />constructed. In any event, the cost for said lease shall not exceed Thirty Thousand <br />Dollars ($30,000.00). Upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is
