~ . <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.97-124 <br />BY: MAYOR BOYLE <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING AN ADMINISTRATIVE FEE OF $50.00 FOR THE <br />PARFIVT/GUARDIANOFA JUVENILE WHO VIO,T.A.TES THEPROGRAMGUIDELINES <br />FOR THE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM'S RESTITUT70N PROJECT AND IS <br />CONSEQUENTLY CHARGED INJUVENILE COURT, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has established a Youth Development Program for <br />the prevention of juvenile delinquency; and <br />WHEREAS, the Youth Development Program created a Restitution Project, a program <br />where a juvenile can make community restitution, as a volunteer, and will be credited for the services <br />performed until the amount owed is paid; and <br />WHEREAS, there is a history of cases where parents have taken little initiative in supporting <br />their juvenile children in the program, and subsequently the juvenile has not completed the program; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the failure to comply with the program's guidelines or failure to complete the <br />program will result in a filing in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court; and <br />WHEREAS, a $50.00 administrative fee will be assessed to the parent/guardian of juveniles <br />enrolled in the Restitution Project of the Youth Development Program if the juvenile does not <br />complete the program and is subsequently filed on in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1 That there is hereby assessed a $50.00 administrative fee to parents of juveniles <br />enrolled in the Restitution Project of the North Olmsted Youth Development Program, to be forfeited <br />if the juvenile fails to complete the program and subsequently is filed on in Cuyahoga County Juvenile <br />Court. <br /> <br />
