_ ,~ <br />.A ~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.97-109 <br />BY: Mayor Boyle <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF ADA <br />FACILITIES AND ALL RELATED EQUIPMENT AS WELL AS MINOR KITCHEN <br />RENOVATIONS AT NORTH OLMSTED'S SPRINGVALE GOLF COURSE AND <br />BALLROOM, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council recognizes the necessity for ADA accessibility at North <br />Ohnsted's Springvale Golf Course and Ballroom, and <br />WHEREAS, the installation of such facilities will provide accessibility and <br />therefore enhance the use of the Ballroom facility, and <br />WHEREAS, the addition of a kitchen hood and grill will improve the capability <br />for expanded food service, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public <br />Safety to advertise for bids for construction and installation of ADA facilities, related <br />equipment and minor kitchen renovations at North Ohnsted's Springvale Golf Course <br />and Ballroom. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and she is hereby authorized <br />to advertise for bids for the construction and installation of ADA facilities, related <br />equipment and minor kitchen renovations at North Olmsted's Springvale Golf Course and <br />Ballroom, and shall be in accordance with specifications now on file in her office. Upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is authorized to enter into a contract and <br />execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is immediately necessary in order to comply with ADA <br />requirements, provide handicapped accessibility to North Olmsted's Springvale Golf <br />Course and Balkoom, and improve the food service capabilities of the Ballroom kitchen <br />and further provided it received the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />
