CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0.97-89 BY: COUNCILMAN NASHAR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF "NO RIGHT TURN ON RED" SIGNS AT CEDAR POINT ROAD AND VALLEY PARKWAY REGULATING TRAFFIC TRAVELING IN A NORTHERLY DIRECTION ON VALLEY PARKWAY AND TURNING IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION ON CEDAR POINT ROAD, AND TRAFFIC TRAVELING IN A WESTERLY DIRECTION ON CEDAR POINT ROAD AND TURNING IN A NORTHERLY DIIECTION ON VALLEY PARKWAY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, with the future installation of a traffic signal system at the Cedar Point and Valley Parkway intersection Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted to prohibit the turning on red for traffic traveling in a northerly direction on Valley Parkway and turning in an easterly direction on Cedar Point Road and traffic traveling in a westerly direction on Cedar Point Road and turning in a northerly direction on Valley Parkway, full-time. WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the installation of a "No Right Turn on Red" signs at the intersection of Cedar Point Road and Valley Parkway after the installation of the traffic signal system, as aforesaid. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said "No Right Turn on Red" signs to be installed in accordance with provisions of this Ordinance.
