Special hospitals 200 <br />Homes for children and the aged 50 <br />Nursing homes and day-care centers 50 <br />Recreational: Buildings and active recreation 100 <br />C. Open uses. Driveways and parking areas serving the public facility may <br />be located within the side or rear yard set forth in the above <br />schedule, but driveways shall be located not less than ten feet <br />and parking areas not less than twenty feet from any adjacent lot <br />line. <br />(3) Height regulations. Public and semipublic buildings may be erected to a height <br />not exceeding the width of the side or rear yard where adjoining One and <br />Two Family Residence Districts or to a height not exceeding one and <br />one-half times the width of a side or rear yard where adjoining other <br />districts. <br />Chimneys, spires, cupolas, domes, towers, flag poles, water tanks, radio or <br />television antennae, monuments and other mechanical appurtenances <br />located upon or constituted as an integral part of a main building shall <br />not exceed a height of twice the width of the side or rear yard but not <br />more than 100 feet above the finished grade. <br />(4) Lighting. Flood lighting or other lighting of playfields, buildings, bulletin boards <br />and parking areas shall be located and designed so as to shield the light <br />source from adjoining residences, and, except for general lighting, shall <br />be extinguished between l 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. of the following day." <br />be amended, and, as amended, shall read as follows: <br />"1118.02 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT STANDARDS. <br />(a) The proposed use is properly located in relation to any adopted land use or street plan, <br />particularly to the collector and local street systems and pedestrian circulation. <br />(b) When located on a local street, the proposed use shall generate the least possible traffic <br />through a residential neighborhood. <br />(c) The proposed use is necessary to serve the surrounding residential areas which cannot <br />be served satisfactorily if the same use is located in a nearby less restrictive district where it may be <br />permitted by right. <br />(d) The location, design and operation of such use shall not discourage the appropriate <br />development or impair the value of the surrounding residential district. <br />(e) For temporary structures, every conditional use permit shall be reviewed every six <br />months and may be renewed only while the construction operations are pursued diligently. <br /> <br />
