CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0.97-30 <br />BY: MAYOR BOYLE <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL AND <br />ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES TO SEEK SEALED BID PROPOSALS FOR HOSPITALIZATION, <br />MEDICAL-SURGICAL INSURANCE, INCLUDING STOP-LOSS INSURANCE COVERAGE, <br />THIRD PARTY ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES AND BENEFITS FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to obtain competitive prices for said hospital <br />insurance coverage, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to obtain bid proposals for hospital insurance <br />coverage and stop-loss insurance. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Control met on July 24, 1992 and determined that proposals for <br />hospitalization coverage shall be by sealed bid. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Personnel and Administrative Services be and he is <br />hereby authorized to obtain sealed bid proposals for hospitalization, medical-surgical insurance, <br />including stop-loss coverage and benefits for employees of the City of North Olmsted, according to <br />specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor <br />is hereby authorized to enter into contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that the present insurance coverage with the Farley Corporation is nearing <br />expiration, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED: ` S ~7 <br />ST: G~ <br />BARBARA L.
