CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97- 5 <br />SPONSOR: MAYOR BOYLE AND THE ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE RECEIPT OF <br />NOTICE FROM THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, ESTABLISHING A PUBLIC <br />HEARING UPON A PETITION FOR ANNEXATION FROM <br />CHRIST THE KING CHURCH OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN <br />OLMSTED TOWNSHIP, AND ADOPTING A STATEMENT OF <br />THE SERVICES WHICH TIE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />WILL PROVIDE TO TIiiE TT:RRITORY UPON ANNEXATION, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Christ the King Church has filed a petition with the Cuyahoga County Board <br />of Commissioners requesting the certain territory it owns, which is located in Olmsted Township, <br />be annexed to the City of North Olmsted ;and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to R.C. Section 709.031, in such annexation proceedings, the City <br />is required to adopt a Resolution containing a statement indicating what services, if any, will be <br />provided to the territory proposed for annexation upon annexation; <br />NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMST ED: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted hereby resolves that it shall provide to the <br />territory proposed for annexation by Christ the King Church the same city services, on the same <br />terms and conditions, which are presently being provided on a city-wide basis to all other <br />properties located within the City, including, but not limited to the following services: all police <br />and fire services, all water and sewer utilities, garbage and trash collection, street maintenance <br />and repair, and the use of all city parks and recreational facilities. <br />,4F IDN 2: That this Council urges the Board of Commissioners of the County of <br />Cuyahoga, Ohio, to undertake a careful and deliberate study of all of the matters present in the <br />Petition for Annexation, and to expeditiously hear all the parties concerned and, thereafter, <br />approve the annexation as petitioned. <br />~~Q~: That the Director of Law is hereby authorized and directed to take all actions <br />necessary and appropriate in furtherance of the Petition and to assist the Petitioners, as needed, <br />„ ~„ <br />,,,,.~~~ ~~ ,,:~.. ~.~ ..-. n..~~~ . ~ ..~... <br />. ~,~ -_. <br />
