,. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-1 <br />BY: Mayor Boyle and the entire Council <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO <br />FILE AN APPLICATION WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF <br />NATURAL RESOURCES FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING FUNDS <br />PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 1502 OF THE OHIO REVISED CODE, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Recycling and <br />Litter Prevention, allocates funding in the form of grants to supplement and not to replace <br />local solid waste management programs; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Council to make information about recycling <br />and waste reduction widely available to individuals and businesses in North Olmsted <br />through the Internet. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the City Council hereby endorses the Novel and Innovative <br />Project application to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Recycling <br />and Litter Control 1997 Special Grant Program for the City of North Olmsted. <br />Section 2: That the City of North Olmsted is hereby authorized to enter into an <br />agreement with the Department of Natural Resources to implement said grant program. <br />Section 3: That the Mayor is hereby designated as the Authorized Official and is <br />hereby the official signatory for all grant documentation. <br /> <br />
