City of North Olmsted <br />Ordinance 98-141 <br />Page Three <br />SECTION 3: That all full-time administrative personnel listed in this ordinance, with the exception of <br />Directors, having completed five (5) years of full-time service as an employee of the city shall be paid an <br />additional four percent (4%) of their base annual salary; thereafter until completion of their tenth (l Oth) year of <br />full-time service after which such employee shall receive five percent (5%) of their base salary; thereafter until <br />completion of their fifteenth year of full-time service, such employee shall receive six percent (6%) of their base <br />annual salary; until after the completion of the twentieth (20th) year of full-time service, and during each year of <br />full-time service thereafter, they shall receive seven percent (7%) of their base annual salary as longevity <br />increments. <br />SECTION 4: That all full-time administrative personnel listed within this Ordinance shall receive the <br />following holidays off, unless required to work by their supervisor or Mayor, and shall receive their regular rate <br />of pay: New Year's Day, Presidents' Day; one-half (1/2) day on Good Friday; Memorial Day; Independence <br />Day; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; one-half (1/2) day on Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; one-half (1/2) on <br />New Year's Eve Day; the employee's Birthday; and a floating holiday. In the event an individual works during <br />any of the aforementioned holidays, such employee shall receive comparable holiday time off at a later date. <br />SECTION S: That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance be entitled to an annual vacation <br />in accordance with the Vacation Ordinance. All previous service as an elected City Public Official within the <br />city shall be considered full-time for the purpose of calculating vacation and sick leave upon Retirement. <br />SECTION 6: That all full-time administrative Non-Bargaining Unit Personnel shall receive two (2) <br />eight (8) hour days off with pay, or may elect to be paid for two (2) eight (8) hour days, for each six (6) <br />continuous month period of unused sick leave. No month shall be counted in more than one period. <br />SECTION 7: That all Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions in conflict <br />herewith are hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 8: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the Public Health, Safety and Welfare and for the future reason it is <br />immediately necessary to review all pay scales and bring them into line due to inflation and cost of living <br />increases, and further, provided it received the affirmative note of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />...,.
