{ i CI1'Y OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE #98-137 BY: MAYOR MUSIAL AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING TBE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH OHIO COUNCII. 8 AND LOCAL 2681 OF TBE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, COVERING SERVICE AND WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT EMPLOYEES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. VVHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation calling for Collective Bargaining Agreements with pubfic employees; and WHEREAS, the Service Department and Wastewater Treatment Plant employees, through Ohio Council8 and Local #2681 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for the Service Department employees and the Wastewater Treatment Plant employees; and WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of the Service Department and Wastewater Treatment Plant employees and concluded that bargaining with an agreement which is satisfactory to the Administration; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which has been negotiated by the Administration. NOW, TBEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TI-E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: Section 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated with Ohio Council8 and Loca1 #2681 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal employees, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked, `Exhibit A". Section 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and fringe benefits specified in said Agreement shall be Ju1y 1, 1998 through June 30, 2001.
