EXHIBiT B-11 CONTINUED LABORATORY TECHNICiAN <br />2??. <br />?,. <br />• Conducts investigations and sampfing programs of industriai waste probiems and <br />wastewater flows which are of interest to the municipal water pollution control <br />program, as outlined by the Superintendent. <br />• Performs unusual or difficult tests by setting up, taking down, and cleaning <br />chemical and bacteriological apparatus; makes special analysis as assigned by <br />superiors. <br />• Subject to 24- hour call during emergency situations. <br />• Performs all necessary analysis for wastewater plant performance. Analyzed <br />data is made available on a programmed schedule for optimum plant <br />performance, as directed by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent - <br />Plant Operations. AI( data must be tabulated immediately and kept current at all <br />times. <br />-`" DES[RABLE KNOWLEDGE ABIUTIES AND SKILLS: <br />• Considerable know(edge of the elementary principles, practices and techniques <br />of chemistry and bacteriology. <br />• Considerable knowledge of madern accepted laboratory techniques and <br />methodalogy. <br />• Considerable knowledge of the operating characteristics, adaptability's, and <br />maintenance requirements of basic modern chemical and bacteriological <br />laboratory apparatus. <br />• Ability to follow oral and written instructions exactly, and to prepare routine <br />reports on the results of laboratory tests performed. <br />• Skilled in laboratory manipulative techniques. <br />• Eyesight sufficiently strong to permit extended microscopic work, normal colar <br />perception and keen sense of smell. <br /> <br />71 <br />
