CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 98-135 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />AN ORDINANCE TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS FOR <br />CURRENT EXPENSES AND OTHER EXPENDITURES FOR <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR THE YEAR ENDING <br />DECEMBER 31, 1999, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Council wishes to appropriate certain funds for police cars to be <br />purchased during the year ending December 31, 1999. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COLTNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND THE STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That to provide for current expenses and other expenditures of said <br />City of North Olmsted during the year ending December 31, 1999, that the following <br />sums be and they are hereby set aside and appropriated as follows: <br />HOTEL MOTEL TAX FUND <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />Equipment $139,200.00 <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council shall immediately forward an attested <br />copy of this Ordinance to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 3: That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to draw his <br />warrants on the City Treasury for payments from any of the aforegoing appropriations <br />upon receiving proper certificates and vouchers therefore, approved same, or an <br />Ordinance or Resolution of Council to make the expenditure; provided that no warrants <br />shall be employed by authority of and in accordance with law or ordinance. Provided <br />further, that the appropriations for contingencies can only be expended upon approval of <br />a two-thirds vote of council for items of expense other than those covered by specific <br />appropriations herein made. <br />SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force at the earliest <br />date permitted by Article IV, Section 12, of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted. <br />
